Since first being licenced in 2012, I have operated under a number of callsign variants, a few of which are listed below
- MQ6EIO - Marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee - from 05 May to 10 June 2012
- MO6EIO - Marking the London 2012 Olympic Games - from 21 July to 09 September 2012
- 2Q0GUI - Marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee - from 01 June to 30 June 2022
- Again as 2Q0GUI to mark the period of National Mourning following the death of Her Majesty the Queen - 14 September to 19 September 2022
- GB5AAW - Marking Autism Awareness Week - from 25th March to 2nd April 2023
- GR5AUG - Marking the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla - from 01 May to 30 June 2023
- GB5VIZ - Marking Churches and Chapels On The Air Day - 09 September 2023
- GB2LO - Marking the founding of the British Broadcasting Company in 1922 - from 16th September to 30th November 2023
In March and April 2023 I operated GB5AAW in Autism Awareness Week. The event organiser, James Gallo (KB2FMH), described Autism Awareness Week as “the biggest special event in Ham Radio history” - and it was an honour to be a part of it.
